TCS Light Casing
TCS Light tubeless tires feature one layer of casing to minimize rotational weight while simultaneously increasing the overall liveliness of a tire. Using a single layer of casing results in a gram-conscious tire that better conforms to any terrain and increases traction without the need for excessive knob heights that would reduce efficiency. Many of our TCS Light gravel tires feature SG2, which is our unique puncture protection technology that provides bead-to-bead coverage to ensure both the tread and sidewall are protected from slashes and punctures.
Black or tan sidewalls
It's nice to have options, which is why most of our gravel tires are available with either black or tan sidewalls. Traditional black sidewalls tend to blend in with the components and wheels of a bike and may look sleeker in the eyes of some riders. WTB tanwall tires blend retroesque looks with modern technology to create an iconic look that has become synonymous with high-performance gravel. Looks aside, gram counters may choose our tan tires because the compounds used to make them are slightly lighter than those used to manufacture black sidewalls.

Great tire with grip in the gravel

I have enjoyed riding in these tires. They grip well, especially in the gravel. The grip I. gravel is very comforting. I look forward to grinding out some miles on gravel with these tires.

Good tire with some faults.

Great on the loose stuff, good in the mud, grip for days, high enough volume to compensate for the occasional poor line choice or camouflaged rocks or roots. It's sluggish and loud on pavement, but I don't use them on pavement much. The sidewalls leak sealant for a bit, but eventually settle and hold air for weeks without issue. The rubber is soft and will wear quickly, especially on pavement, but I imagine that soft rubber is the source of the previously mentioned grip. Buy if you like to pretend your gravel bike is a mountain bike sometimes.

Tread only lasts one season

Overall, this is a fine a tire. However, the rubber on the tread wears pretty quick. I've run these as my go to winter tire for 3 seasons and I usually have to replace the rear tire after just 4 or 5 months (Nov-April) of riding in Colorado. I never got a flat, puncture or sidewall slash, but they do leak a bit. I would hope that a tire like this could last more than five months though. I use a Schwalbe G-One All Round the rest of the year on road, loose gravel, single track, and some pretty technical terrain and usually get at least 2-3 seasons per tire, so maybe 2000 miles per tire. If you don't ride a lot, and you are a lighter rider, then maybe gives these a go. But if you're looking for a knobby tire for more than one season, I'd look at something more resilient.
