WTB Frequency 7X Hubs Power Cannondale Factory Racing to World Cup Victory
Luca Martin takes first Men Elite XCO World Cup win of the season in Lenzerheide aboard Cannondale Factory Racing’s Reserve Wheels equipped with WTB Frequency 7X hubs

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. — June 23, 2026 — WTB (Wilderness Trail Bikes) is proud to celebrate Cannondale Factory Racing’s continued success on the World Cup circuit, with Luca Martin claiming victory at the UCI Cross-country Olympic (XCO) World Cup in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, aboard Reserve Wheels equipped with WTB Frequency 7X hubs.
After four second-place finishes this season, Martin broke through in Lenzerheide to take the top step of the Men Elite XCO World Cup podium for the first time this year. The win adds another major result to an already consistent season and further strengthens Martin’s position at the front of the overall XCO World Cup standings after four rounds.
For WTB, the result marks more than a podium moment. It’s real-world validation of Frequency 7X hubs at the highest level of mountain bike racing.
Cannondale Factory Racing is running WTB Frequency 7X hubs across its race bikes this season, pairing them with Reserve wheels to create a lightweight, efficient, and dependable wheel system built for the demands of modern World Cup cross-country racing.
At under 300 grams per pair, Frequency 7X hubs are designed to meet the weight demands of elite XCO racing while still delivering the durability needed for technical courses, high-speed impacts, and full-gas race efforts. Large-diameter Enduro bearings support smooth rolling performance and long-term reliability, while the DLC ratchet-ring drive system gives riders a responsive, efficient platform when it’s time to accelerate, attack, or put power down out of technical sections.
“World Cup cross-country racing is one of the hardest proving grounds in the sport,” said Johannes Huseby, Director of Global OEM Sales at WTB. “The equipment has to be light, fast, efficient, and dependable under pressure. Seeing Luca and Cannondale Factory Racing win at this level on Frequency 7X hubs is exactly the kind of validation we look for. These are products built for real racing, and they’re being proven by the best in the world.”
Lenzerheide delivered the kind of race that defines elite XCO: constant pressure, tactical moves, technical terrain, and a final-lap battle for the win. Martin’s victory came after a season of near misses, turning consistency into a breakthrough result at one of the sport’s most iconic venues.
For Cannondale Factory Racing, the performance continues a strong start to the season. For WTB, it reinforces Frequency 7X as a lightweight, race-proven hub platform trusted by one of the fastest teams in the World Cup paddock.
Developed for riders who demand low weight, quick engagement, smooth rolling performance, and race-level durability, Frequency 7X hubs bring World Cup-ready performance to riders chasing speed on any course. From the start line in Lenzerheide to local race loops and weekend singletrack, they’re built to help riders carry speed, respond faster, and trust their wheels when it matters most.
